The fiduciary standard requires the firm to make investment decisions in the best interest of the client. Additionally, a fiduciary is required to be transparent regarding fees and how we get paid. The broker world does not have the same requirement.
Further, we aim to deliver reasonable performance for the level of risk the client is comfortable with and do it in a low cost/tax effective manner.
